Data of increment of the remnant trees after logging, ingrowth and mortality was obtained by assessment before logging and after 6 years, two sites of 50 ha, in Amazon forest. Logging scenarios were simulated to identify the logging rate potential for each studying sites, by diameter class projection method. The cy- cle of 35 years and the logging rate of 30 m3?ha?1 exceed the time required for recovery in the primary forest, in the studied site. The simulation showed that in the studying area, a well-planned logging, with minimum logging damage would be possible to implement an initial cycle of 25 years to the forest to re- cover 30 m3?ha?1, if 50% of the timber stock were reserved. The forest increment, beyond important fac- tors such as the increase of individual species, is quite dependent on the remnant trees. |

Percebe-se uma modificação das preferências dos consumidores em direção aos alimentos orgânicos, entre eles o café, cuja produção orgânica tem crescido e se expandido pelo Brasil. Entretanto, a viabilidade econômica da produção de café orgânico mostra-se fundamentalmente relacionada ao preço obtido no momento da venda. Este trabalho buscou analisar os direcionadores da adoção de café orgânico no Brasil, com base nos fatores propostos por Giménez Cacho et al. (2018). Conclui-se que a adoção do café orgânico no Brasil está relacionada ao reconhecimento de uma crise, ao nível de organização social, à existência de aliados externos, aos mercados favoráveis e às políticas favoráveis. Consumer preferences have changed in direction of organic food. In this context, coffee is included, whose organic production has grown and expanded in Brazil. However, the economic viability of organic coffee production is fundamentally related to the price obtained at the time of sale. The objective of this work is to analyze the drivers of the adoption of organic coffee in Brazil. So, the factors proposed from Giménez Cacho et al. (2018). It is concluded that the main factors related to the adoption of organic coffee in Brazil are: the recognition of a crisis, the level of social organization, external alliances, favorable market and policies. |
