Muscularity of a joint is associated with improvements in the shape of that joint. Increases in muscularity at a Lwt also tended to be associated with improvements in composition. Muscularity through the carcass may be described adequately in the Texels using a single index such as TMSL, but separate indices for the leg and loin may be required for the Suffolk and Charollais breeds. |
