In this paper, the Distributed Active Objects Platform to implement services in Telecommunications Management Network (TMN) is proposed. The main features of this platform are: the rapid exchange of information between co-located active objects due to the sharing of the same address space; its openness due to the usage of ISODE (ISO Development Environment) as its communications infrastructure; the concurrent processing of activities within each active object; and the ability to associate different priority levels to such activities. Those features turn it specially suitable for the implementation of TMN services in high speed network environment such as Asynchronous Transfer Mode. |
