S aBehavior of banana genotypes evaluated in different locations of Brazil. c2010 ap. 750 v.2 vv.2 aS18.014. aThe final step of the genetic breeding process consists in the evaluation of new genotypes during successive production cycles in different ecosystems. The objec-tive of the present work was to verify the behavior of banana genotypes evaluated in different locations in Brazil. The experiments were carried out during 2003/2004 in the municipalities of: Guanambi-BA, Una-BA, Cruz das Almas-BA, Campos- RJ, and Petrolina-PE, where 7 banana genotypes (varieties and hybrids) from dif-ferent genomic groups were evaluated in two production cycles. The genotypes evaluated were: Japira, Pacovan Ken, Calipso, Ambrósia, Grande Naine, Prata Anã and Pacovan. The experimental design was in random blocks with 7 treatments and 3 replicates. The Grande Naine cultivar presented promising agronomic char-acteristics in all locations evaluated for both production cycles and the county of Una-BA, was the location where the genotypes presented the worse performance for both cycles evaluated. aBanana aMelhoramento genético1 aLEDO, C.
