The beef cattle exploitation is of fundamental importance to the development and conservation of the Pantanal ecosystem, since it represents the main income of the local producers, who practice, in their great majority, ecological meat production. This practice utilizers in a rational manner the natural resources of the region to produce meat free of chemical additives, known as green meat, produced exclusively on natural pastures.
