Since the publication of the law protecting the fauna, the breeding is a legal alternative but it is left behind due to technical difficulties to the execution and co-existence with legal hunting. The breeding of alligators in ranching system (gathering of eggs in the nature and raising the babies in captivity) is a feature accepted  by IBAMA (Brazilian Institut of Environment Protection) since 1990, which has made possible the settlement of several breeding places.
