R. aA model of grass growth. c1983 aA model of grass growth is constructed and applied to above-ground dry-weight data on a well-fertilized and irrigated grass crop grown at Hurley. The processes of light interception, photosynmthesis, respiration, growth and senescence are represented in the model. Temperature, daily light receipt and daylenght are the environment input variables required. The model is able to simulate the two limiting cases of exponential growth, and a steady-state crop which is in dynamic equilibrium without net growth. The model fits the data well, and provides a simple framework for the analysis of the growth of grass. aCrescimento aPastagem aGrass growth aModel aModelo1 aAMEZIANE, T. E.1 aTHORNLEY, J. H.
