P. aThe ecology of Aphis craccivora Koch and subterranean clover stunt virus in south-east Australia. 2. A model of cowpea aphid populations in temperate pastures. c1974 aVarious components of the biology of the cowpea aphid (Aphis craccivora Koch), subterranean clover stunt virus and their host plant have been assembled in a simulation model. The aphid-host-plant relationship is examined against a profile of a temperate environment. It is concluded that the species is primarily a warm weather species and that it isnot adapted to breed in the temperate climate of south-east Australia. The potential of different types of mortality factors is also examined. aAfĂdeo aAphis Craccivora aAphid aCaupi aCowpea1 aHAVENSTEIN, D.
