The objcctive of thispaper was to cvaluace the vegctablc enteroparasitcs occurrence in vegetnbles from rural producers in Umuarama. ParanáState, Brazil. A hundred thirty tree samples werc cvaluatcd, and 25 ( 18.8%) wcre positive to the presence of parasites.Among those 8n 1(8.4%) rough lertuce. 6/33 ( I 8.2%) smooth lerruce. 8/18 (44.4%) wild chicory and 3/l J (27.3%) of chicOI)'.Analyses of samples have shown helmind1es in 23/1 33 (17.3%) and protoLoa in 61133 (4.5%). The major helminthes andprotozoa observed were Ascaris sp (9.7%), Ancilostomatidae (9.7%), E11terobi11s renuiculares ( 1.5%). Srro11gyloides sp(0.75%), Entamoeba sp (3.75%) and Giardia sp (0.75%).
