It was done harvest and weigh twelve peach palm shoots at the time of harvest. First results, shown the water content of the peach palm shoots are very high and an average biomass of lonly 1.8kg per tree was measured for trees wich are ready for harvesting with an average height of 3.4m. This far less than the estimates of 7.0kg per tree. For the polyculture systems and the monoculture, it adds up to 0.5mg ha-1 and 4.3mg ha-1. The above-ground biomass of peach palm is very low in comparison to cupuacu with an estimate of 30kg per tree. aagroforestry abiomass aBactris Gasipaes aBiomassa aPupunha aAgrofloresta aAmazonas aBrasil aManaus tIn: SHIFT PROJECT ENV 45/2.
