A. aInfestation and injuries caused by fruit flies in citrus orchards of the state of Sao Paulo, Brazil. aNew York, USA: Springer-Verlagc1990 ap151-153 aIn: ALUJA, M.; LIEDO, P. Fruit flies; biology and management. aIn the citrus agroecosystem, fruit flies, rust mites Phyllocoptruta oleivora (Ashmead, 1879) (Acari, Eriophyidae) and leprosies mites Brevipalpus Phoenicis ( Geijskes, 1939) (Acari, Tenuipalpidae) are Key pests(Gravena and Fernandes, 1988). In relation to the mites there is much Knowledge on their bioecology and injuries, which was important for the development of Integrated Pest Management Schemes for citrus crops. However, for fruit flies, the citrus farmers utilize preventive sprays with insecticidalbaits (Cabrita, 1985), which has induced outbreaks of secondary pests such as scales (Ehler and Endicott, 1984). Thus, studies related to pest infestation patterns, host preferences and distribution on crop are important for IPM development. The objective of thiproject was to study the injuries caused by fruit flies on 3 citrus species for development of sampling techniques and establishment of action level for fruit flies on citrus farms. aCitrus Reticulata aCitrus Sinensis aDoença aLaranja aCitros aCultivar pera1 aTELES, M.
