Kurstaki (Btk-HD-1), on oviposition and juvenile hatching of Heterodera glycines race 3 in the absence of a host plant was studied under greenhouse conditions. In experiment 1, a single dose of 1 mg of each toxin and aldicarb/g soil infested with H. glycines were compared with untreated control after intervals of 15, 30 and 60 days. The initial numbers of egs, juveniles and cysts/50g of soil were 4.4, 1.2, and 9.6 respectively. In experiment 2, two doses (0.2 and 2mg of each toxin/g of autoclaved soil) were compared with untreated control 15 days following toxins incorporation in 100g of soil inoculated with 10 cysts. The number of eggs laid at the 1 mg dose of Bs 2362 were significantly (P&lt0.05) higher than the control after 15 and 60 days in experiment 1 and also in experiment 2, in Bs 2362 at the 0.2 mg dose but at 2 mg dose the number of eggs were significantly (P&lt0.05) less than the control. In experiment 1, the number of hatched juveniles of H.glycines in treatment Bs 2362 and Btk-HD-1 were significantly (P&lt0.05) higher than in the untreated control after 15 days but not after 30 and 60 days. In experiment 2, only Btk-HD-1 at 0.2 mg dose had significantly (P&lt0.05) higher numbers of hatched juveniles than the control.
