One way of improving output whilst maintaining even improving soil quality is to integrate livestock rearing cereal production on the same farm, for instance by rotating annual crops and prairies, and combining it with pasture renewal or recovery. This work describes trials conducted on farms and the possibilities offered by combining short-cycle crops with livestock rearing.
