Belo Horizonte: Instituto Prociência, 2006. 4 f. 1 CD-ROM.c2006  aData from 18,324 monthly records of 4,116 lactations from a total of 1,316 goats, daughters from 141 sires, for the period 2001-2004, were used for this study with the aim of estimating projection factors to 305d, parity-season correction factors the heritability and repeatability and to carry out the genetic evaluation for milk yield, using a repeatability model. Variance components and predicted breeding values were obtained with mixed model methodology. Average milk production corrected to 305d and mature equivalent was 1,165 kg. Heritability and repeatability estimated for milk yield were 0.26±0.05 and 0.48±0.02, respectively.
