These are: (1) high field/high resolution solution methods, especially 2D methods, on isolated components; (2) solid-state techniques, especially using cross-polarization/ magic-angle spinning (CPMAS) and (3) magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), both macro and micro. Examples are taken from recent literature and from our own laboratory. Some additional data interpretations are made.
