Wats.) Britt. & Rose, Cactaceae].h[electronic resource] c1993 aThe effect of temperature treatment on the germination of seeds of the columnar cactus cardon (Pachycereus pringlei, Cactaceae) was evaluated. The seeds were exposed to two constant temperatures (40 and 70oC) during one-, two-, and three-week periods prior to imbibition. The highest germination (61%) was obtained when seeds were exposed to 40oC for one week, while the lowest germination (7%) resulted from exposing them to 70oC for three weeks. aSeed germination aCactacea aPachycereus pringle aPlant developmental stages1 aLEON, J.
