Birth weight.h[electronic resource]  c1970  aAbstract: Data were analysed on 254 kids born during 1950-65 of local, 1/2 Anglo-Nubian x local (1/2 A.N.) and Anglo-Nubian x local (3/4 A.N.) crossbred goats. Kid birth weight correction factors were obtained for sex, parity of dam and litter size; the mean birth weights of single ? kids from 2nd and subsequent kidding dams were 1.93, 3.06 and 3.25 kg for the 3 groups resp. The kidding intervals were 259 ±22.4, 374 + 34.6 and 360 + 45.8 days resp., the difference between groups being significant. The local goats had the highest twinning percentage (58.06), followed by 3/4 A.N. (53.19) and 1/2 A.N. (49.02).
