L. aThe growth and development of the penis in sheepbtheir possible relationship to posthitis.h[electronic resource] c1948 aDuring an investigation of "shealt rot" in sheep a condition known also as ovine posthitis, balanitis or "pizzle rot", it was found that some graziers believed that susceptibility to the disease was related to the age at which lambs were castrated. Although the investigation failed to reveal any sound basis for such a belief, certain features of the anatomy of the pennis and prepuce of ram lambs and wethers were observed which merit description.
