It was found that the paper-electrophoretic study, iodine-agglutination test and Weltmann reaction in serum could be of some aid in the diagnosis of Jaagziekte and Maedi. The other parameters, viz. immuno-electrophoresis, zinc sulphate turbidity, haemoglobin reactive protein and phosphatage activity of serum studied, did not reveal any variation in the normal and Jaagziekte- and Maedi-infected sheep and goats.
