The study started by doing a soil sampling grid of 25m by 25m for soil fertility analysis. During the 1999/2000 season, corn was planted in the whole area in order to demonstrate techniques for precision farming and to locate parameters which describe in-field variation in a consistent way. Different ways of fertilizer application has been studied by comparing the traditional whole area soil nutrients medium values method against the divided sub areas variable rate (VR) application method based on spatial variability maps of the soil vertility. The yield map was generated and an economical analysis was performed. A profit map was generated based on the economical analysis. aAgricultura de Precisão1 aMATTOSO, M. J.1 aQUEIROZ, D.
