The characters given consideration in this program are resistance to lodging, drouth, diseases and insects; and yield, suckers, ear height, ear drop, ear size, maturity, shelling percentage, and test weight. The names and addresses of the commercial companies entering hybrids in the tests are given in Table 1. Names of producers of certified seed of hybrid combinations with the state name as a prefix may be obtained from the various Corn-belt agricultural experiment stations.
