The new version allows to constrain energy either on NEm or NEg basis but not both. There is now a feed library of 707 feeds. Non-protein Nitrogen (NPN), Nonstructural Carbohydrate (NCHO), Degradable Intake Protein (DIP), and Undegradable Intake Protein (UIP) now can be constrained. The new Taurus program has been used on a local, regional, national, and international basis. It is receiving world-wide interest in the are of teaching, research, and outreach programs. The program has been given excellent evaluation by students, ranchers, extension agents, and university faculty because of its user-friendly attributes, power and versatility. Exciting feature of the new version which allows extra power and flexibility in maximizing profit is Profit Projection module. Another useful feature of the new version is the feedtag program which estimates energy values of the feed stuff based on their chemical analysis. aBeef cattle aEnergy estimation aFeedlot aProfit projection aRatio formulation aRation evaluation aTaurus1 aDUNBAR, J.
