W. aProfit projection of growing feedlot cattle. c1994 ap. 150-154. aProfit projection is a computer program for projecting profit or loss of cattle. It combines the biological performance with economic data of feeding beef cattle. Up to five different phases of feeding can be accommodated by the program. It predicts daily intake and daily gain using an iterative method. At the end, it prints a closeout showing overall profit or loss along with other performance information. The input portion consists of three screens for entering economic information, feeding phase data, and seasonal fluctuation in intake and energy requirements. Profit projection has been designed to be extremely user-friendly, using full-screen editing for input, pop-up help message windows, pop-up multiple choice list windows, and extensive error checking. The program is written in the C programming language and runs on an IBM compatible computer with 640 K of memory and a hard disk. aAgroinformatics aComputadores aplicados a agricultura aComputer in agriculture aInformatica na agropecuaria aInformation technology in agriculture aTecnologia fr informacao na agricultura1 aAHMADI, A.1 aDUNBAR, J.
