R. aEntomofauna changes with soybean expansion in Brazil. c1997 ap.166-169. aSoybean is a relatively new crop in Brazil: Dynamic changes of herbivores and their parasites and predators have been observed, as an increase in time of cultivation and expansion of the crop to new areas occurs. Additional factors contributing to these changes include adoption of new cultural practices, such as widespread use of no-tillage cultivation systems, and implementation of tactics of integrated pest management (IPM) systems, such as reduced use of selective insecticides, and biological control agents. Recent changes in the status of different pest species of the various feeding guilds are discussed. aBrazil aplant protection aSoja aBrasil aInseto praga aPest insects aProtecao de planta aSoybean tIn: WORLD SOYBEAN RESEARCH CONFERENCE, 5., 1994, Chiang Mai.
