There results showed that the protein content, northern spring-sowing cultivars (A) 40.85% < summer-sowing (B) 42.91% < autumn-sowing (C) 43.48% < souther spring-sowing (D) 43.91%. Fat content, A (19.76%) > B (18.61%) > D (18.49%) > C (17.77%). Sum of protein and fat content, D (62.56%) > B (61.45%) > C (61.25%) > A (60.64%). Some relation between the geographical distribution and amino Acids was found. High-level essential amino acid cultivar (37.23%/16gN), high-level phenyalanine cultivar (7.87%), high-level S-containing amino acid cultivar (.59%), high-level trytophan cultivar (1.38%), low-level linolenic acid cultivar (4.86%) were discovered. The problem of ecology-geographical distribution on chemical quality and of breeding for soybean quality were discussed. aSoja aSoybean1 aHU, C.1 aZHUANG, B.1 aZHANG, M.1 aLU, Q. tIn: CONFERENCIA MUNDIAL DE INVESTIGACION EN SOJA, 4., 1989, Buenos Aires.
