A.  aIndexing structures for bitemporal databases.  aDallas: Southern Methodist Universityc1995  a29 p.  a(Ph.D. Research Proposal).  aIn this proposal we present some directions to attack the problem of indexing bitemporal databases, which, up to date, has not been addressed in the literature. To achieve that we do the following. We review the models for historical, rollback and bitemporal databases. For the historical and roolback models we present several indexing approaches presented in the literature. We then propose the indexing structures to be investigated towards the goal of indexing bitemporal databases. In order to evaluate such indexing structures we need to address the design of sets of data and queries accordingly.
