Th reaction parameters. i.e. molar ratio of the reactants, temperature,time and catalyst were optimized to obtain a product in 63% yield with 95.87% purity. The degree of purification on the product has been found to be a limiting factor to confort with the standard speification required for various applications of monolaurin.
