L. aA revision of the Anastrepha hastata species group (DipterabTephritidae) [Revision der Anastrepha hastata Arten-Gruppe (Diptera: Tephritidae)]. c2003 aThe Anastrepha hastata species group is recognized with three included species: A. apicata spec. nov. (Costa Rica, Panamá), A. cocorae spec. nov. (Costa Rica, Panamá), and A. hastata Stone (Brazil). Salacia petenensis is recorded as a host plant of A. apicata, and Cheiloclinium cognatum as a hsot of A. cocorae. These are the first host records for Anastrepha species from the plant family Celastraccae (or Hippocrateaceae, where these plants are sometimes classified). The larvae feed on the seeds within the fruit. Description and illustrations are provided for each species, and their relationship are discussed. afruit flies aTephritidae aAnastrepha aCelastraceae aCheiloclinium cognatum aFlowering plants aHippocrateaceae aSalacia petenensis1 aKORYTKOWSKI, C.
