The former had a lower germination capacity than the latter. Embryo size was positively correlated with seed size in samples which were heavier than the average, but not in lighter seeds. Cotyledon number and length were significantly and positively correlated with seed size but not with latitude. aPicea sitchensis aSemente tAdvancing Frontiers of Plant Sciences, New Delhign. 19, p. 11-24, 1965.
