PAni was mde soluble in chloroform by being doped with organic acids. Optimized conditions for the formation of high collapse pressures Langmuir films and for the subsequent transfer onto solid substrates were only achieved after a systematic processability study. Monolayers were spread onto pH=2 subphases and transferred onto glass substrates in the form of Z-type LB films. The optical and electroactive properties of the films were essentially the same as those obtained with spin-coated PAni films. The absorbance of the polaronic peak increases linearly with the number of deposited layers. aFilmes aLangmuir-Blodgett aPolianilina1 aOLIVEIRA JUNIOR, O. N.1 aTELLES, G. D.1 aMATTOSO, L. H.
