A.  aCharacterization of mercerized and acetylated sisal fibers by solid state NMR.  c2002  aThe effect of chemical modification (mercerization and acetylation) on sisal fibers was studied by 13C NMR in the solid state, and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The results showed that NMR has proven to be a useful tool to study the chemical changes on the fibers.
