L. aSIGNOban object management system. c1990 ap. 39-51. aThis paper presents some general features of SIGNO. SIGNO is an objectmanagement system that has been developed in the SPP (Software Plant Project). SIGNO provides the basic concepts of Object-Oriented Approach. These concepts are some abstraction mechanisms (classification, generalization and aggregation), single inheritance, encapsulation and late binding. Furthermore, SIGNO supports persistence of objects that can be sotred in object banks. There is also concurrence control to access the object banks, thus making SIGNO multiuser. Other features of data base such as indexing capability are supported. Some directions for future work and conclusions are spelled out at the end of this paper. aAmbiente de software aBanco de dados aBootstrap technique aDatabase aObject-oriented system aSistema orientado a objetos aSoftware environment1 aSALVIANO, C.
