H. aStrategies for the control of postharvest disease of mango.h[electronic resource] c1993 aVarious systemic fungicides, Benomyl; Cyproconazole; Prochloraz MnCI2; Flusilazol plus Carbendazin, applied in combination or alternated with Copper-Oxychloried were applied pre-harvest at monthly intervals, during th 1992/93 season on cvs Kent and keitt. All fungicide treatments were found to give controlog both anthracnose and soft brown rot. No significant differences were observed, in terms of disease control, between the respective fungicide treatments. Visible spray residues on fruit, at harvest, were significantly lower where systemic fungicide was applied in the final spray round, instead of Copper Oxychloride. Various postharvest chemical treatments in combination with hot water as well as modified atmosphere shock and ultra violet (UV) / infra red (IR) irradiation treatments, were also evaluated for the control of postharvest decay in Irwin, Kent and keitt mangoes. amangoes aDoença aManga aMangifera Indica aControl aControle aDiseases aPos colheita aPostharvest tSouth African Mango Growers Association Yearbookgv. 13, p. 109-116, 1993.
