Dowson pb viticola (Nayadu) Dye] of grape vine (Vitis vinifera L.) on 3 cultivars (Thompson Seedless, Tas-e-Ganesh and Sonaka) at Salapur, Sangali and Nasik. An incidence of disease was observed in all the vineyards pruned during 1-15 September at all the places. Maximum disease intensity (76.80%) was recorded during this period with maximum loss in yield. The disease intensity was below 5.60% in the vineyards pruned after 10 October. Pruning of vine from the second week of October and onward proved best for the escape of disease in all the grape-cultivating areas of Maharashtra and North Karnataka. abacterial canker aGrapes apruning aBactéria aDoença aPoda aUva aVitis Vinifera aDisease aGrapes vine aXanthomonas campestris pv viticola1 aPATIL, B.
