A carência de pesquisas neste campo é grande, em todas as regiões geográficas do país, e principalmente no cerrado brasileiro. Dessa forma, este trabalho teve como objetivo relacionar algumas espécies florestais nativas, por meio de revisão bibliográfica, com potencial para utilização em sistemas agroflorestais com componente animal (SSP e SASP) na região central do país, contribuindo para o sucesso dos sistemas. As espécies selecionadas devem simultaneamente cumprir o objetivo do plantio e as exigências ecológicas regionais, garantindo, assim, retorno econômico e ambiental satisfatório. No Brasil, a adoção desses sistemas ainda depende de muito trabalho de divulgação das vantagens do sistema, bem como estudos sobre a adaptação de espécies a diferentes condições climáticas e de solo. Nesta etapa é interessante a participação da assistência técnica especializada e, principalmente, de troca de informações entre produtores. ABSTRACT - The forest species suitable for use in silvopastoral (SSP) and agrosilvipastoral (SASP) systems are not yet well defined, and should consider the regional differences, the kind of systems and phytogeography. The shortage of research is big in this theme for any geographic regions of Brazil, especially at Brazilian Cerrado. Thus, this work aimed to relate some native forest species, by literature review, that have potential for use in agroflorestry systems with animals in the central region of Brazil, providing conditions for a more accurate choice, in order to increase the chances of success of the systems. The species selected must simultaneously fulfill the goal of planting and regional ecological requirements, thus ensuring satisfactory environmental and economic return. Nowadays, in Brazil, the adoption of these systems still depends on a lot of work to disseminate the benefits of the system, as well as studies on the adaptation of species to different climatic and soil conditions.
