To face these challenges, changes in agricultural practicesin local production systems are observed, especially with the adoption of agroforestry systems. The objective was to analyze the adoption of an integral and systemic methodology for assessing soil security in the Eastern Amazon. The methodology adopted involved interviews with family farmers, diagnosis of production systems, and visual evaluation of the soil with quilombola farmers. It is concluded that the tool built is a social technology that can contribute to monitoringagroecosystems and assist in farmers' decision-making about the continuity or changes in the management practices adopted aAgroforestry aFarm families aSoil management aSustainable development1 aASSIS, R.
