Foram utilizadas 16 cabras lactantes, mestiças de Saanen e Toggenburg com e sem acesso a adição de selênio orgânico ao concentrado. Foram realizadas aferições das respostas fisiológicas. Houve diminuição da frequência respiratória e da temperatura da superfície da pele nos animais suplementados com selênio orgânico. [Effect of organic selenium supplementation on the thermoregulatory behavior of dairy goats in the northeastern semi-arid region]. Abstract: The objective was to study the addition of organic selenium in the diet of dairy goats during the period of lactation on the characteristics of thermoregulation in a tropical environment. We use 16 lactating goats, mixed of Saanen and Toggenburg with and without access to the addition of organic selenium to concentrate. Were performed measurements of physiological responses.
