The field performance of 21 genotypes as clonal rootstocks for the ‘Maciel’ peach cultivar was evaluated in a non-irrigated area with a history of PTSL syndrome, established in 2014 with potted nursery trees that included own-rooted ‘Maciel’ trees (without a rootstock). The results indicate that own-rooted ‘Maciel’ trees and those budded on ‘Capdeboscq’, México Fila 1, ‘Flordaguard’, and ‘De Guia’ exhibited the highest vigor. Own-rooted trees and those budded on ‘De Guia’ and ‘Flordaguard’ rootstocks demonstrated productivity comparable to those budded on ‘Aldrighi’ or ‘Capdeboscq’, both used as a reference. Own-rooted ‘Maciel’ trees can be recommended for areas with a history of PTSL due to their vigorous growth, high productivity, and yield efficiency. Regarding rootstock function, ‘Flordaguard’ can be recommended as it provides high tree vigor, satisfactory fruit weight, and high fruit yield. None of the five interspecific hybrids tested (G × N.9, ‘Ishtara®’, ‘Barrier®’, ‘Cadaman®’, and ‘GF 677′) nor two genotypes of P. salicina and P. mandshurica showed potential for use as a rootstocks for ‘Maciel’ peach due to the negative effects on fruit weight, fruit yield and/or tree health in the present trial. aDoença de Planta aPêssego aPorta Enxerto aPeach Tree Short Life1 aUENO, B.1 aNAVA, G.1 aBIANCHI, V.
