The treatments included an integrated crop-livestock system (ICL, without trees) and two integrated crop-livestock-forestry systems (ICLF14-28 and ICLF22) with different spatial arrangements of trees (before and after thinning), both composed of Eucalyptus urograndis, clone H13. After 14 years ICL showed highest values of soil C contents, C stocks, and C accumulation rate, as compared to ICLF22 and ICLF14-28, approaching the levels of native vegetation. ICL has proved to be a promising system in helping to mitigate greenhouse gases (GHG) in livestock production, considering soil carbon. aGreenhouse gases aLivestock production aPastures aSoil quality aCarbono aCerrado aVegetação Nativa1 aMACEDO, M.
