G. aValidation of a portable glucose meter in blood glucose measurement in normoglycemic goats induced to hypoglycemia and hyperglycemia.h[electronic resource] c2022 aThe objective of this work was to evaluate the precision and reliability of a portable glucose meter (PGM) in the blood glucose measurement of goats, healthy and induced to hypoglycemia and hyperglycemia. Sixty normoglycemic, 15 hyperglycemic and 15 hypoglycemic goats were subjected to blood collections and the samples were analyzed within 2 hours after the collection through PGM and enzymatic method (EM). For each test, sensitivity, specificity, and area under ROC were evaluated for two cut points for hypoglycemia and hyperglycemia. PGM has high accuracy and precision in blood glucose measurements of goats, providing satisfactory and reliable results when compared to EM. aCabra aGlicose aGlicemia aMedidor portátil aMétodo enzimático1 aVALLE, M.
