Figueiredo Brasil; Coorientador: Eduardo Fernandes Formighieri) aChlamydomonas biconvexa Embrapa|LBA40 is promising strain for the production of protein-rich biomass and can be grown in sugarcane vinasse, an abundant wastewater from ethanol plants. In here, the complete mitogenome of the C. biconvexa Embrapa|LBA40 strain was sequenced and analyzed in silico for gene content and phylogenetic profile. Analysis unveiled a compacted linear mitogenome with 15,74 kb of size, containing 13 genes, 10 protein-coding genes and 3 tRNAs-coding genes. Phylogenomic comparisons confirmed C. biconvexa taxonomic status within the Reinhadtinia clade of the Chlamydomonadales. aMicroalgae aPhylogeny aMitogenome
