This article presents a computational system composed of hardware and software elements that can be used in the Precision Livestock area. The objective is to support the management of the operation of providing nutritional supplements: a hardware module identifies the visits of the animals to the troughs and transmits the data to a software module, which processes them and generates reports to support decision-making. A case study indicated the viability of the solution and advantages of the system: portability and flexibility in the expansion of the functionalities through modularization, for less than one tenth of the cost of the current solutions available. aAnimal behavior aBeef cattle aAutomated Trough aCapture Station aNutriComBov aNutritional Management aPrecision Farming1 aWEBER, V.
