A group of heat-treated rats were simultaneously treated with serum gonadotropin FSH plus LH. Another group received only the hormone treatment. Based on histology, follicles were divided into 7 types, and these data were used to quantify folliculogenesis. Heat stress adversely affected folliculogenesis. Hormone treatment alone resulted in a 5-fold increase in folliculogenesis. aHeat stress aHormones aFSH aLH1 aPATTABIRAMAN, S. R. tIndian Journal of Animal Reproductiongv. 15, n. 2, p. 141-143, 1994.
