João Pessoa: SEBRAE-PB: EMEPA-PB, 2007. 3 f. 1 CD-ROM.c2007  aResumo: O presente trabalho teve como objetivo avaliar o desempenho produtivo e consumo de matéria seca em ovinos confinados e alimentados com feno de Atriplex (Atriplex nummularia Lind ). Foram utilizados 30 animais 5/8 Santa Inês, machos, inteiros, com peso vivo médio de 20 kg, submetidos a um delineamento experimental inteiramente casualizado e alimentados em gaiolas metabólicas. O experimento teve a duração de 50 dias onde foram avaliadas cinco dietas contendo níveis crescentes de feno de Atriplex (22%, 33%, 44%,¨66% e controle) na dieta. A adição do feno de Atriplex nas dietas, não alterou o peso final dos animais. Não foi observada interferência ambiental no desempenho dos animais. Em relação ao consumo de matéria seca o nível de 22% apresentou menor ingestão (P&gt0,05). Para ganho em peso médio diário e ganho em peso total, dentre os tratamentos utilizados apenas o nível de 66% mostrou-se inferior (P&gt0,05) aos demais. O consumo de água foi menor (P&gt0,05) no nível de 22%. A conversão alimentar dos ovinos mostrou-se superior (P&gt0,05) nos níveis de 44 e 66%. A inclusão do feno de Atriplex na proporção de 44% promoveu o melhor desempenho dos animais. [Levels of inclusion of the hay of Atriplex (Atriplex nummularia Lind) on the performance of lambs in growth]. Abstract: The present work had as objective to evaluate the productive performance and consumption of dry matter in sheep confined and fed with diets in increasing levels of Atriplex (Atriplex nummularia Lind). Had been used 30 animals 5/8 Santa Inês, males, whole number, with average alive weight of 20 kg, submitted to an experimental delineation entirely casualizado and fed in metabolic river steamers. The experiment had the duration of 50 days where five diets had been evaluated contended hay increasing levels of Atriplex (22%, 33%, 44%, 66% and control) in the diet, associate to a concentrate. The addition of the hay of Atriplex in the diets did not modify the final weight of the animals. The ambient interference in the performance of the animals was not observed. In relation to the consumption of dry substance the level 22% presented the lesser ingestion (P&gt0,05). For profit of daily average weight and profit of all up weight, amongst the used treatments only the level 66% and revealed smaller (P&gt0,05) amongst the studied treatments. The water consumption was lesser (P&gt0,05) in the level 22%. The alimentary conversion of the Sheep revealed superior (P&gt0,05) in the level 44 and 66%.
