Os resultados de ganho de peso e conversão alimentar não foram estatisticamente diferentes entre os tratamentos nas fases de crescimento e acabamento dos animais. 0 tratamento T4 produziu maior área de olho-de-lombo do que os outros tratamentos. 0 rendimento de carcaça, espessura de toucinho, área de olho-de-lombo, comprimento de carcaça e rendimento de pernil não foram estatisticamente diferentes entre os tratamentos com os diversos níveis de colistina e bacitracina de zinco, nos estádios de crescimento e acabamento. ABSTRACT - Thirty crossbred pigs (Landrace x Wessex) were utilized in an experiment to study the effects of colistine and zinc bacitracine on the performance and carcass characteristics of swine. The results of weight gain and feed/gain ratio were not statistically different arnong the treatments. The treatment T4 produced larger loin-eye area than the other treatments.
