Records on 6653 ewes and 5530 lambs were obtained for 16 yr. Reproductive performance, survivability and production of meat and wool were investigated. The effects of breed and year were found significant in all traits tested. Male lambs were significantly heavier than females; but, females, on the average, had a higher survival rate. Year by breed interaction was significant in a majority of the traits. The overall production of the Criolla compared favorably with the imported breeds. Ranking the breeds on composite traits, the British Romney Marsh weaned significantly more kilograms of lamb/ewe bred followed in order by Criolla, Corriedale, Rambouillet and American Romney Marsh. The American Romney Marsh and Corriedale produced significantly more wool per ewe than the other imported breeds while the Criolla produced the least. aColombia aReproduction aReproductive performance aSheep aWool aEficiência reprodutiva aLã aOvino aReprodução animal1 aNARANJO, A.1 aKRESS, D.
