The attainment of peak level of .gamma.-globulins was delayed and reached within 1 wk in groups fed milk for 24 and 72 h. The amount of globulin was comparatively less in these milk-fed lambs (33.3%) and kids (40.0%). The best live-weight gain was achieved in lambs/kids restricted from sucking for 18 h.
