The season and year had significant effect (P < 0.01) on sperm concentration with coefficient of determination as 9.74 and 8.69%, respectively. Though the sire effect was not significant statistically, its contribution to the total variability was 19.5%, which is considerable. Season effected motility significantly. The repeatability estimates for volume, concentration of sperm, motility and percent live sperms were 0.16 .+-. 0.05, 0.08 .+-. 0.04, -0.01 .+-. 0.02 and 0.54 .+-. 0.08, respectively. The sire X season interactions were non-significant. The percent live sperms may have moderately high additive genetic variance and could be used to improve male fertility. aSheep asperm motility aSpermatozoa aCarneiro aEspermatozóide aFertilidade aOvino aSêmen aMale animals aMotilidade1 aRAM, S.1 aBALAINE, D.
