Ewes were arranged according to their body weights in 5 classes and the birth and weaning weight averages of their lambs in each subclass worked out. Regression of weights of lambs on dam's weight at lambing indicated an increase of 19 and 141 g in birth and weaning weights resp. for each 1 kg increase in dam's weight. Equations for predicting the birth and weaning weights of lambs from their dam's weight are given. aBirth weight aLambs aMeasurement aSheep aWeaning aCordeiro aDesmama aMedição aOvino aPeso ao nascer aTamanho1 aACHARYA, R.
