A. aStudies on the females of Haemonchus (Cobb, 1898) from Indian sheep and goats. c1970 aAbstract: In an investigation of the Haemonchus complex in sheep and goats in Maharashtra, India, 12 female variants were recorded. These were Roberts Types A, B, D, E, F, G, I, L K, L, M and N. Roberts Types C and H were not found. In a female population of 210, the percentages of each Type were 2.86, 20.48, 36.19, 21.9, 0.48, 0.48, 2.38, 4.29, 6.66, 0.48, 1.42 and 2.38 respectively. On grouping, 23.33% were found to be of Roberts Group I, 58.1% of Group II and 18.57% of Group III. Following the system of Das & Whitlock [see HelminthAbstr., 30, No. 1802], 25.71% of females were found to be of the "linguiform" group, 73.33% of the "knobbed" group and 0.96% of the "smooth" group.
